Instructions
Season chicken with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper; set aside.
Brown chicken in olive oil, then transfer to a plate; set aside.
Sauté onions with brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt until soft, then add broth, Worcestershire, and thyme; simmer until most liquid reduces.
Nestle chicken into onion mixture, cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F, then sprinkle with Gruyère and broil until melted and golden.
